Yes these traditional simple window lifts are in fact silver plated (and hand waxed). We have lost something in today’s hardware schedule – attention to detail and quality. Much of the hardware in formal spaces of both country homes and apartments would have been silver plated (some even gold plated). This homes formal spaces are all silver plated and the bathrooms, kitchen, mudroom, etc are all polished nickel.
