We had a great visit last week to Charlottesville – including a visit to Monticello. The hardware in the home is extremely simple but stunning at the same time – the one great detail was a pair of doors that opened at the same time (very forward thinking for the period). Views were unreal – I can see why it is a place you have to see if you love America! The gardens (vegetable) are all still maintained and provide great inspiration for your own home too.
