The historic Packard Assembly Plant is over 3 million square feet and covers blocks of motor city usa. It is worth the trip to climb in and explore this relic of days gone by. The double hung windows are mostly gone and destroyed but much of the original hardware was still able to be seen. The large overhead transom window operator that is over 300 feet long still works perfectly (after being neglected since the 1960’s).
