This may not seem very exciting, however, this large sash lock is has so much to tell us about quality in the 1920’s and 30’s. Note several details we never see with a typical new sash lock: detailed & crisp casting (not rounded and porous), slotted screws that fit into their countersinks, a strong rivet that holds the part together (this window was used and it still works so well). Don’t throw these types of pieces out unless you understand what your options are (and if you do send them our way – we like them!).
