This lever has had the detail re-applied to it prior to making a mold for investment casting. This method of sculpting over the lever allows as much detail as possible to be reintegrated into the hardware. There typically is a 4% +/- shrinkage associated with this process. Sometimes it is actually necessary to re-sculpt the entire part to match the original size.
