solid brass rim lock

This rim lock is being installed on an upholstered door.  The extra long keys are due to the extra thick door!  We can work with you on your next project that requires custom rim locks.

A sophisticated little device mounted to the exterior of a powder room door will tell you if the door lock is engaged or not.  The engraving is done by hand – almost more for show than anything.



chicago nickel hardware

This hardware was just installed in a home in Chicago, Illinois.  The towel bar was attached from both the front and back for strength.  All the parts were machined providing really sharp details – the sharp edges were all softened in our finishing room prior to nickel plating.  more photos soon…

These polished nickel cabinet knobs just came out of our finishing room.  These are for a Howard van Doren Shaw home in Lake Forest, Illinois that is in the process of being brought up to date.

This cabinet knob has a feel of kicked up traditional hardware.  The polished nickel finish with the clean lines – the best.

This polished nickel privacy set has a clean beveled detail on the plate.  The full mortise lock provides a high quality edge pull and the high security locking function.



lynchburg va | turn of the century shoe town

Lynchburg was the hot place to be in Virginia over 100 years ago.  After the turn of the century there were dozens of companies that manufactured shoes on the James River.  This was all pre-China and makes me wonder what we make here in the U.S. today.  One thing we focus on is our hardware being made in the usa – every little bit counts.

This ice box hardware was finished in oil rubbed bronze for a client in Chicago. Check out the detail on this hardware!

These knobs are being finished in polished nickel and will make there way to Quincy, Illinois.  The knobs are turned on a CNC vs being cast providing the best substrate for polishing and plating.
