un-lacquered brass exterior hardware
This georgian inspired knob was manufactured in solid brass and finished in polished & un-lacquered brass. The patina is fabulous after only 2 months of being exposed to the elements. Chat with our staff to assist with the negatives and positives of your finish selection.
custom exterior lighting | copper
This is one of several lanterns we manufactured for a local residence. The chain detailing as well as the light fixture itself is an interpretation of a historic design. Be certain to discuss your next project with one of our crack team-members.
cremone bolt hardware
These cromones were done for a local project. Our team of installers provided the install for our general contractor. The doors were based on a cup/pocketing function that was used in the early part of the last century (only with improved weather stripping detail and insulated glass).
traditional casement window hardware
These photos are from a recent installation we just completed. The hardware was done in both silver, polished nickel, and unlacquered brass. Our team also did friction hold opens for out-swing casement windows as well.
brass autotransom
This is an installation of our autotransom that is a great solution to secure the inactive door on a narrow opening (pair of doors). This particular installation is also for embrasure doors with harmon hinges.
oil rubbed bronze threshold
This bronze threshold was finished on site. Most of the time we prefer to complete work in our shop in Wilmette. This location required the work to be completed on site.
custom exterior door hardware – unlacquered brass
This exterior hardware set was installed by our crew in Highland Park, Illinois. We typically do not install our hardware (most general contractors have great time carpenters available to them – many gc’s have them on staff) – but in certain cases it makes sense to use our crew to manage the entire hardware schedule from start to finish. This project required temporary key-way’s during construction and installation of both door, window and mill-work hardware.
knurled drawer pulls
These knurled drawer pulls were completed for the same project mentioned in the last posting. Every pull is hand crafted/finished – these have a knurled detail that is tooled into the pull prior to final finishing.
nickel plated cabinet knobs
These silver cabinet knobs were installed in a master bath and butlers pantry in Highland Park, Illinois. We provide polished mounting screws (slotted heads) and finish washers to match all of our cabinet hardware for a finished look.
silver appliance pull | custom machined brass
These pulls were just completed by our shop in Wilmette. These are some of the most amazing pulls as far as design and finishing complexity we have manufactured in a long time. The background is a matte silver and all other surfaces are polished silver (silver plated — ie not nickel). They were made up with radius profiles to fit a radius front cabinet.
burnished brass finish hardware
The bunished brass finish varies by manufacturer. For this project we produced finish samples for our staff and for the designer that will be used to index all the finishes for the entire project. The custom hardware shops all do a version of this finish (all just as fabulous as the next but just all slightly different). Be sure to request a sample finish when dealing with this finish.
brass rim lock hardware
These pieces of hardware were restored for a project recently by our team of crack polishers. Rim locks were often made in solid brass and used in an entire home (we don’t see this as much in the Mid-West like is seen in older homes out east).
