plating chicago
Take a quick look at these 100+ year old mercury glass door knobs finished at our shop in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, Illinois. We can even nickel plate your glass knobs as well.
parts, parts and more parts
When we ship a completed project we always try to include an extra parts kit. This really helps the installers if parts are ever scratched or lost (which is bound to happen on a large project). We also provide these kits on our larger restoration projects – talk to one of our staff members about this when we finish your project.

These shower door pulls were fabricated from solid brass and plated in a polished nickel finish. The hexagon shape compliments the Water-Ware faucets that were selected for this project. Custom towel bars and robe hooks were also fabricated for this project as well as some fluted shower pulls as well (to be seen in a future posting).

ampthill plantation virginia
Here are some great photos of Ampthill Plantation in Virginia. This home was built in 1735 and future additions were designed by Thomas Jefferson. The home even has mantels from the White House in Washington from the 1800′s. We had the pleasure to stay with the current owners George and Carol (who are great hosts) and see the wonderful remnants of American architectural history.
ampthill plantation hardware | circa 1735
This fabulous hardware represents just some of the gems we saw when staying at the Ampthill Plantation. George and his wife Carol were delightful hosts and the home, barns and acreage were just to die for. Look for more photos of the estate in future entries…
