cremone bolt restoration

Posted on October 22nd, by gbettenhausen in Recent Projects. No Comments

Here is a photo of an example of some cremone bolts that were restored for a local client.  Our staff removed and re-installed all hardware on a schedule based on when our client was traveling.  We fabricated missing parts, rebuilt the cremone boxes, and finished the hardware in an old brass finish (with wax).

This is a great representation of our corona knob installed on a local home.  This suite of hardware is available in passage, privacy, dummy and exterior application — there are also coordinating door stops, cabinet hardware and levers as well.

Take a look at our silver cremone bolts installed in a local family room.  The hinges, screen door hardware, and the cremone bolts are all silver plated and waxed.

The captions here are of hand sculpted hardware for a residence in Georgia.  This hardware will be all cast in bronze and finished in a soft antique nickel. The appliance pull is based on our hand hammered tudor entry set.  The cabinet pulls are turned and hand hammered as well.

These cremone bolts were recently installed in a local home.  The finish is a very warm silver & wax.  The hinges and all other hardware coordinates with what you see in this photo.  The door detail and paneled mill work are traditionally detailed and work well with the traditionally inspired new hardware.

georgian turned brass knob

These fabulous turned brass georgian entry knobs weigh over two pounds each.  The weight and feel of this hardware reminds us of how hardware was selected (and how important details were).  Some architects and designers are having a revival of incorporating these fabulous traditional details into their projects.

This traditionally styled shower door pull/handle will be made with brass hexagon material with turned details.  The final finish of this will be a high polished nickel.
