Here is another batch of our renowned traditional screw pattern hinge.? This hinge is based on a part that was made at the turn of the century.? Note the traditional sized ball finial and hole pattern.? Don’t forget the slotted screws (phillips screws are a no-no for your project).

Yes the green lanterns are done / these were powder-coated after our staff welded the lanterns back on the post/hanger.? They were also completely re-wired and restored for a local home.
These great lamps are back up on the exterior of a beautiful building on East Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Illinois.? Many of the metal panels were re-fabricated (after the lantern blew down in the windy city).? The paint we used is a fine paints of europe product over a special metal primer.
We slightly digress from hardware for a few days showing off some of our latest projects for exterior lights (just trying to help you get ready for spring).? This lantern came to us crushed and mangled – our staff really did a great job putting this one back together.
This is a door knob from the famous Lexington Hotel in Chicago.? This building was demolished over a decade ago.? This knob is worth about 200.00 to a collector and was cast in bronze specifically for this hotel.? Collector’s enjoy hardware that has provenance and can be identified with a specific building or home.

Note the scale of the lever as compared with the pen in the above photo. We had to rebuild this mortise lock and add new spring steel to prevent the lever from sagging on the door. Feel free to have us help on your next lock repair, restoration or rebuild project.
This is an original iron hardware set from Geneva, Switzerland (where Calvin began his work). The detail of the old masters is absolutely incredible.
